More about me:
Born in the South coast of England, I studied for 5 years in fashion and textiles achieving a diploma and BA(hons) Degree. I then worked for another 5 years in the fashion industry, before deciding to change direction and follow my other passion of plants and gardens and retrain in horticulture, achieving a RHS general certificate.
It was whilst working in an amazing garden center in Warwick Avenue, London (Cliftons) that a Kiwi friend encouraged me to go travelling on a working holiday visa. So 2007 came and off I went working my way around Australia and New Zealand.
A year had passed, and here I was in the beautiful Southern Lakes of New Zealand.
It was here I met my now husband and had my two children. Pete introduced me to Hunting and exploring this amazing part of the world.
Pete has been a big influence on me and my work, showing me the South islands back country, spending time in places where few people have been. I can also thank him for contributing to the great inspirational images I use as a reference for my art work.
In 2013 I had my daughter, after 6months I started thinking about returning to work. My passion for sewing enabled me to start working from home offering an alterations and mending service. It started slowly through a little advertising and word of mouth. A few years later I started making Ammo holders on the request of my husband and a few fellow Deerstalkers. On top of this I was asked to make some Camouflage aprons for the Local Deerstalkers burger stand at a local A&P show. These took off quite well, so I decided to keep making them and have a go at selling them at a local market. This was a success and gave me the momentum to make more handmade items and take up my love of drawing again and sell Prints.
I am soo thankful for everyone who has supported me on this journey so far as it means I can pursue my love of sewing and drawing whilst still being able to spend time with my family. I am looking forward to my future and what else I can achieve.
